Fabrics We Use

Who doesn't like to know fun facts about their fabrics?

Bamboo;

one of the fastest growing plants on earth. Bamboo is tremendously strong and pest resistant. No fertilizers, pesticides or irrigation is required. Bamboo does not require replanting. The shoots are cut to their base and the bamboo re-grows.

Sustainability

Bamboo is a powerhouse when it comes to protecting the planet’s resources. Maturing in only two years, it doesn’t require fertilizer or pesticides to grow quickly and strongly. The bamboo used in clothing is produced in an eco-friendly closed-loop process. It is also ethically made.

Chemical Free
After processing, the bamboo fiber does not contain any harmful chemicals, which we love!!!

Hypoallergenic
Bamboo clothing has a soft fabric that screams quiet luxury, and is naturally hypoallergenic, moisture- absorbent and quick drying.

Antibacterial & Odorless
Bamboo also has many antibacterial qualities, which bamboo fabric is able to retain, even through multiple washings. Bamboo exhibits up to a 99.8% antibacterial rate.This helps to reduce bacteria that thrive in clothing and cause unpleasant odors. It can also kill odor causing bacteria that live on human skin! It is the epitome of quiet luxury.

Lyocell AKA Tencel;

is a natural fibre. Made with wood pulp, lyocell textiles are created through a closed-loop process. It is 100% biodegradable.

Sustainability
Made from the natural cellulose found in wood pulp and ethically made. The fiber is economical in its use of energy and natural resources, and is fully biodegradable.

Colour Rich
Lyocell was created with color in mind, because of the fibers' high absorbency. The fabrics can be dyed to high quality standards.

Moisture Absorbent
This eco fabric has natural breathability and 50% greater moisture absorption than cotton.

Anti-bacterial
Due to its moisture management, lyocell is also anti-bacterial.

Great for sensitive skin
Lyocell’s incredible wicking abilities keep the skin dry, making lyocell a great fabric for sensitive skin.

Cotton;

another great eco friendly fabric that is ethically made. It is grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides or other chemical fertilizers, and is simply better for your health and the environment.

Sustainability;
Natural cottons are grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment. Organic production systems reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers, making natural cottons an eco friendly fabric.

Anti Allergenic
Many allergies may be caused by chemicals in cotton fibers we either wear, or sleep on. Organic cotton does not have these chemicals! Sleep well.

Hemp;

one of the most eco friendly and ethically made fabrics in the world.

Sustainability;
Hemp creates one of the most eco friendly fabrics in the world. Hemp requires no pesticides, crowds out weeds without herbicides, controls erosion of the topsoil, and produces oxygen. It is a renewable resource that can be cultivated in as little as 100 days and is the world’s most versatile fiber.

Strong Fabric
Hemps’ strength is eight times that of cotton fibre.

Hypo-allergenic
Fabrics made from hemp are hypo-allergenic and non-irritating to the skin.

Linen;

is one of the most biodegradable fabrics.

Sustainability;
It is made from flax plant fibres, so when untreated (i.e. not dyed) it is fully biodegradable. It is natural anti-bacterial and becomes stronger when wet. Don't worry about washing this one - it just gets softer and stronger and screams quiet luxury.
